Cross Country
I was at the line to start the race my stomach was sore. When Miss Castle said “Take your mark get, set, go.’’ followed by a loud bang.
I went running like a cheetah as fast as I could. We went around the corner I saw a gray thing poking out through the leaves in a tree. I was thinking about it, it was gray and some of his body was white he has pointy ears his teeth was pearly white. The look in his eye said I am going to eat you.
I thought “no you can't. You have to catch me to eat me’’
I remembered reading in the paper about an animal escaping from the zoo. I wondered if the mystery animal behind me was the same one.
I was running fast but the animal was faster than me I ran faster I passed the person in front of me, the mystery animal bowled them over the person. “Ahhh!’’ Reremoana screamed as she ran.
I saw Mrs Mundy she was saying “Hurry, you can do it’’ because she knew something was chasing me but the mystery animal knocked Mrs Mundy down “Ouch!’’ Mrs Mundy cried. They way it kept knocking people over it was like the animal was a rhino.
I had to run up the hill it was like running up Mount Everest. I went around the field and back paddock but until Mrs Castle saw something chasing me. She was directing all the students “Inside the hall, quick now.” yelled Miss Castle.
I jumped up, down and rolled over the obstacles and went through the tunnel. I made it to the finish line I was jumping up and down because I had got a medal of 1st place. But the mystery animal was to tired so the ugly tied animal went home ..

I liked New Zealand kereru because it had been hiding for
ages until the man had showed out his favorite fruit. But the kereru
was camouflage into the trees and you could hear the kereru calling.
Later the man was talking and the kereru thought that the mans hair was a bird nest .
I liked the Africa cheetah because when they are together they look cute but when they are separated the look alone.I really liked the bit when the cheetah opens up his mouth wide open. We had learnt that all the animals are endemic and they are exotic .

ANZAC Poem
Australia and New Zealand fought together for their countries.
Nervous and scared families at home, wondering what was happening.
Zealous soldiers lied about their age with thoughts of great adventures.
Armies gathered to fight at Anzak Koyu,a small cove on the Gallipoli Peninsula.

All of the Maori chiefs signed the treaty
Nine copies of the treaty, one travelling in English, 8 in Maori
Governor Grey said that the chief shouldn’t sign what they don't understand
In anger many people had died
